Fall Wreath

Last week I went to Michael's and was wandering amongst their fall decor. They have a lot of it, and it is completely different than what you will find at Hobby Lobby.

I surveyed their wreath fixings and determined that were I able to successful assemble a wreath, I could complete one for about $20. I purchased the necessary supplies, drove home, and assembled this wreath for my front door, because the one in front of my fireplace is just too pretty to have bugs and other things possibly nest in it.

To say I'm pleased is an understatement. I used one extra-leafy garland, two different berry garlands (one also had some pumpkins), a grapevine wreath, and some ribbon just to tie it up. I did use some covered wire in large 'u' shapes poked in at various intervals to hold everything on the wreath. From the road you can't really see all the colors as well as you can up close. Maybe next year I'll add in some bright yellow sunflowers or something. Or maybe I'll just be lazy and leave it exactly like it is.

I was so happy with my inexpensive wreath, since it was inexpensive and because it was easy to assemble, that I went back and purchased the supplies to make a second one. I hung it on the inside of the door where we walk out to the garage.

This is the door we use when we leave the house so we see this wreath all the time. That makes me happy. And since it's up close I can see all the bright colors and don't need to add anything to it. That makes me even happier.

I'm so impressed! I've been thinking I want a fall wreath and had looked around a little and didn't really see anything.
Maybe you could make one for me and deliver it to this side of the state?

You did a great job. I like the hanger on the second one, too.
