Book Review ~ Sisterchicks Go Brit!

I just finished reading this seventh book in Robin Jones Gunn's series. The Sisterchicks books are always about a different pair of "Sisterchicks" that go on an adventure together and along the way find some truths about themselves and God.

This was my least favorite of all the books. I should have had some warning when I didn't like the cover because unfortunately, I judge a book by its cover. That's how I sometimes end up picking out a new series. Seriously. I found the Lumby Lines series that way. Digressing again, I know. I felt like the author had to try to fit God into this story; it didn't feel natural. Although there were a few funny situations, there wasn't as much humor in this book as in the others. I actually laughed out loud in some of the others and woke my Hubby up if I was reading in bed. Overall, I was disappointed in this book. It may have been because I expected more after having read the others. I don't know that it was a bad book, it just wasn't that good. When I finished it, I wasn't disappointed that it was over.

My favorite book in the Sisterchicks series is Sisterchicks Do the Hula, although I enjoyed all six of the first books. There was just something special about that one to me even though I've never been to Hawaii.

I judge books by their covers too! I have found great books by being attracted to their covers.

I'll have to get my hands on one of these...
